Operationally Superior

Every major component is IP addressable and feeds ‘real-time’ information on rack temperature (front and back across multiple positions in each rack), humidity, power consumption and power capacity, to a central, remotely accessed management dashboard.

Client’s server staff can monitor the entire environment remotely and only need to visit the data centre for routine maintenance or scheduled upgrades, saving thousands of hours of work for clients over a five year period.

Staff can set threshold alerts using a range of categories up to a ‘Red Alert’. Should conditions change, messages are sent via SMS or email. Using the supplied Netbotz® time-stamped IP cameras, staff can see when any piece of equipment has been accessed and by whom - all online, remotely and in real time.

Reports showing detailed trending analysis can be generated automatically at any time to help the team run their equipment most efficiently and effectively.

Clients do not need data cabling or electrical contractors to work on their equipment as the APC infrastructure is supplied pre-patched and fully wired.

Concurrent maintenance can be carried out on any individual component in the entire infrastructure with zero down-time for the production environment.

No raised floor and with all cabling being visible overhead means no cable mess under the floor or loss of cooling efficiency when opening up the raised floor to work on the cooling.

Moves, adds and changes - a reality in any data centre – is managed without the need to arrange disruptive sub-floor work.

Importantly, CDC ’s Hume hosting centre is staffed 24x7 and on-site staff are fully trained in emergency and continuity procedures.

Canberra Data Centres (CDC) have been able to shift the Data Centre paradigm to the next generation today. The Data Centre can address power and cooling densities of up to 30kW per rack by using the APC by Schneider Electric Closed Coupled Cooling and Hot Aisle Containment methodology. This methodology, combined with the dynamic allocation of power & cooling in a just in time manner, achieves energy efficiency savings of up to 65% when compared to traditional facilities Click here to view.
